Is this position full-time or part-time?

This is primarily a full-time position. However, depending on your profile and our current needs, part-time arrangements may be discussed during the interview stage. Please indicate your availability clearly in your cover letter.

Do I need to be a native speaker of both languages?

Native fluency is not strictly required, but you must demonstrate near-native, high-level proficiency in both French and English — particularly in written and spoken formal registers. Evidence of this (certifications, prior teaching experience, etc.) should be included in your application.

Can I apply if I do not yet have a teaching certification?

A teaching certification (CELTA, DELTA, FLE, or equivalent) is preferred but not strictly mandatory if you have significant, demonstrable experience teaching adult learners. Please be thorough in your cover letter about your background and approach to teaching.

What documents do I need to submit?

You are required to submit:

  • A complete, up-to-date CV/Resume (PDF, DOC, or DOCX — max 5MB)
  • A tailored Cover Letter explaining your motivation and fit for the role (PDF, DOC, or DOCX — max 5MB)

Both documents are mandatory. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.

How long does the recruitment process take?

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 48–72 hours of submission for an initial interview. We encourage you to apply as early as possible, as the position may be filled before any formal deadline.

Can I teach online from outside Cameroon?

At this stage, we are primarily seeking candidates who can commit to onsite delivery in Yaoundé. Some online teaching components may be available, but the role is predominantly in-person. Remote-only arrangements are not currently on offer.
